POSITION:LUBRICANTS TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER

LOCATION: DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA

QUALIFICATION:

  • Chemical Engineer or Industrial Chemist
  • Professional Training in Advances in Lubrication Formulation
  • Min. 6 yrs. experience
  • 30 - 40 years old

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1 Responsible for all oils and lubricants development business processes for the Mogas Group like (Product Formulation, Blending Planning, Packing, etc.), Raw Material Requirements Planning (Additives, Based-stocks, and Packaging), Oils & Lubricants Movement (from Lube Plant to MOGAS Depot), Health & Safety.
1.2 Responsible for the overall activities of MOGAS lubricants Product Sp6ecifications, Formulations, Quality Assurance Procedures and Methodologies, and after sale services.
1.3 Initiate and monitor Products intended to be marketed in collaboration with the Chemical Additive Manufacturers to determine the best possible performance at the most effective cost.
1.4 Plan and recommend to CEO and COO the changes, both short and long term, in the lubricants formulation as affected by government legislation, obsolescence of additive packages and other components in the formula or introduction of new performance package.
1.5 Prepare, Analyze and Recommend operating budget and capital expenditures of the Lubricants Technical Services in line with the company's Strategic Plans and resources.
1.6 Represent the company at government and industry meetings concerning lubricants and petroleum products technical matters.
 
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS & EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS:
 
  • Candidate must be fluent in written/spoken english; Computer literate; Possess a relevant university degree, post graduate qualification & having worked/lived overseas other than his home country will be an added advantage; must be dynamic and self-motivated & able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Salary in US Dollars, Negotiable; Contract duration: Three (3) years, renewable based on performance.
  • Board and lodging costs provided, including jobsite transportation.
