POSITION:Financial Accountant

LOCATION:Republic Of Sudan

Job Description:

  • Work together with the Chief Accountant in developing a robust financial control framework that is communicated to all business units within Kenana.
  • Ensure all transactions relating to Kenana subsidiaries and joint ventures are accounted for correctly.
  • Account for all expenditure programs approved by the Capex committee. This should include the monitoring and reporting against capital expenditure spend by business units.
  • Prepare KENANA's annual Cash Flow forecast. This include working with procurement and other business units to understand the overall cash payments to suppliers, timing etc.
  • Responsible for submission of statutory returns eg VAT returns
  • Prepare summary monthly P&L results for each Business Unit. Work with the Cost & Management Accountant to understand margin variances etc.
  • Work with the Financial Analysts (Costing) calculate COGS and product profitability
  • Be responsible for the Corporate budgets - Finance, HR, IT and Sales & Marketing etc. Ensure that all cost relating to these services are accounted for apportioned appropriately.
  • Responsible for Kenana's overall annual audit. This should include planning with Auditors, preparing annual accounts, year end adjustment etc.
  • Advise and account for all Kenana's Tax matters. This should include tax implication on acquisitions, disposals, investments etc. The Financial reporting Accountant should be familiar with the local tax legislation.
  • Reponsible for calculating the After Serives Benifits provisions and the administration of such funds.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive experiece of working within a finance function.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT Skills including excel and ERP system
  • The ability to work as part of a team and able to manage staff.
